Title: Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) Teacher (Kindergarten - Grade 6) Location: Hefei, China About Us: The International German School Hefei (IGS Hefei) provides a comprehensive bilingual German education from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Job Summary: The International German School Hefei is seeking a passionate and experienced Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Chinese language instruction to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. You will play a vital role in fostering a love of Chinese language and culture among our diverse student body. Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and effective Chinese language instruction to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. * Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that cater to the needs of non-Chinese speaking students. * Utilize appropriate methodology and pedagogy to facilitate language acquisition. * Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment. * Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. * Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Chinese language and culture into the school curriculum. * Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress. * Must be able to speak English. German language skills are a plus. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language Education, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, or a related field. * Experience teaching Chinese as a second language to young learners. * Strong understanding of CSL teaching methodologies and pedagogy. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons. * Fluency in English (spoken and written). * A degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (汉语国际教育专业) is a plus.
